When the Son returned Home..

It was just a 3rd round tie of the FA Cup. Only Just. It involved one side from the Coca-Cola Championship travelling to play against a Premier League side. No biggie. Football pundits had predicted an easy win for the home side. This was the on-the-field scenario. Off the field, it was a completely different story.

Arsenal... or Aarti?............ Torn apart!

“Yeah sure, 7 o clock sounds good... We’ll meet then, I’ll pick you up... Alright bye. Love you!” Arjun hung up with a bright smile drawn over his face. He had just locked in the time when he was going to meet his girlfriend Aarti. They had just started dating, and like every new couple, they couldn’t wait to see each other.

Arjun couldn’t wait for 7 o clock, he couldn’t wait to meet Aarti. He was pacing up and down in his room. He was with Rahul, his best friend. He glanced at his watch. And again. And then again. He started doing the arithmetic in his head and calculating the time remaining for him to meet his girlfriend.

A Silent Day.

“Boull Shyth!” That was a completely drunk me trying to say ‘Bull Shit’, and arguing with a friend of mine, Aryaan, during a football match we were watching at a bar. The club we were supporting had been awarded a free-kick, but it was very far from the goal, scoring from that kick was next to impossible. “I’ll do anytheeng if we ssscore, anytheeeeng. I’ll give youu one lac crore ruupeesss if whee score thees…”Okay I agree it wasn’t my finest moment, but c’mon you got me, right? It was impossible to score!
